There are a number of different keyboard layouts available for Russian--the standard keyboard layouts found on Russian typewriters and computers, as well as several different transliterated (homophonic) keyboards. Below are some examples of transliterated keyboards. Most are similar to each other, but there are a few variations; experimenting, using these models as a guide, should help you figure out which layout is used by your computer.

This is one layout frequently found on Windows 95 and for the "Russkaya-KOI8" layout on Macintoshes in CTW Mellon facilities.
