Erin Elizabeth Gorski

Erin Gorski has devised and directed theater for over twenty years and performed professionally for over twenty-five. She began in musical theatre and eventually specialized in stylized movement techniques while an Artist-in-Residence at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Her Suzuki Acting Method work began while studying with original members of the first American cohort invited to Toga, Japan. She has now been practicing and teaching the form for most of her professional life. After moving to New York City, she honed her acting and directing techniques while performing with Norwegian director Henning Hegland under Anne Bogart’s guidance. She holds an Alexander Technique Fundamentals Certification from Balance Center Arts (NYC) and teaches Mask, Clown, and Stage Combat. Her teaching background includes Yale Child Study, Wingspan Arts (NYC), Montclair State University, Naugatuck Valley Community College, and group and private coaching for performers currently in film, television, and on Broadway. Her work centers the Ensemble to bring a collective vision to fruition. Her research is focused on incorporating recent discoveries in neuroscience into voice, body, and breathwork.

Erin holds an MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy at George Washington University and a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut. She has an extensive performance background, both regionally and in NYC, and has appeared in projects for HBO, Showtime, and countless commercial and voiceover roles.
