THESIS:

Articulations of Decolonization, Citizenship and Imagined Community for US Virgin Islanders

ACTIVITIES:

I serve as the chair of the West Indian Students Association, as the co-captain of Kalalu (Caribbean Dance Troupe), and as a board member of the Women of Color Collective. I also have worked as an Event Staff captain.
OUTSIDE
WESLEYAN:
I serve as a board member, secretary, and blogger for the Virgin Islands Youth Advocacy Coalition. I also have worked as a legal assistant and researcher.
FAVORITE WESLEYAN EXPERIENCE:
With the exception of study abroad, I’d have to say that I have no one favorite Wesleyan experience. Being able to engage with the larger Wesleyan community through various Caribbean cultural events, having the opportunity to educate through political organizing, and allowing myself to relax with my peers in stressful and not-so stressful times are all a part of what makes my four years at this institution unforgettable. In short, my favorite Wes experience has been developing my Star Players.
AFTER
WESLEYAN:

I would really enjoy taking a year off. The current plan is to conduct research in either Angola or Portugal through a Fulbright Fellowship. If that does not work out, I will seek employment with a public policy agency or nonprofit organization and then apply to a graduate school program at the end of that year.
