WHY I CHOSE WES:
|
I
wanted to go to a school where I felt energized by my fellow students and
challenged by my academic pursuits. Wesleyan was the place where I was most
comfortable and felt I could really thrive. Something I noticed while visiting
colleges was that Wesleyan is the best of every world; it compromises on
nothing and offers seemingly infinite opportunities, I liked that.
|
ACADEMIC INTERESTS:
|
My English major
concentration is American Literature. Aside from English and Environmental
Studies, I find myself drawn to Art History, History, and French. I have been
studying French since high school and am fascinated by the language.
|
FAVORITE CLASS:
|
I took a class sophomore year called Imagining the American South. It was an
English class all about the incredible and diverse works of literature that
have come out of such a geographically specific, and often overlooked region.
The class really opened my eyes to the diversity of American, and specifically
southern, literature.
