HIGH SCHOOL:
Lakeside School
MAJOR:
Psychology and Economics double major
WHY I CHOSE WES:

Absolutely the student body. Nowhere else can you find such an interesting, friendly, varied, welcoming, and delightfully offbeat group of people. Everyone is always looking to try new things and to meet new people, and the result is a campus that is a haven for every walk of life.

ACADEMIC
INTERESTS:

Easily one of the best parts of Wes is the lack of structured requirements. Our breadth requirements compel students to take interesting classes that range widely in subject matter, and sometimes push us out of our comfort zone! My very first semester I really enjoyed Ancient Greek, a class I never imagined taking. Though I’m not a natural science major, I’ve always enjoyed the sciences and Wesleyan’s breadth requirement has had me in cool classes like Physics for Future Presidents and The Biology of Sex.

FAVORITE CLASS:

The Problem of Truth in Modern China

CAMPUS
ACTIVITIES:

Quasimodal a cappella
Skateboarding
Wesleyan Homebrewing Alliance
AEPi fraternity
Cardinal Technology Center

WHY I CHOSE TO BE A TOUR GUIDE:

I wanted to be a tour guide in order that I might tout the glories of Wes to all. I love this school, I love to speak in front of people, to meet new folks, and to get enthusiastic about this campus. I’ve also learned a ton about Wesleyan. I feel like a Wes trivia champion. The best feeling is recognizing new students to whom I gave tours just a year before.

FAVORITE MOVIE:

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

FAVORITE SONG:

Don’t Forget Me by Red Hot Chili Peppers

FUN FACT:

I can’t burp. I’ve never burped, and I probably never will.
