HOMETOWN:
West New York, NJ
HIGH SCHOOL:
Hackley School
MAJOR:
Economics
WHY I CHOSE WES:

Most of the universities to which I considered applying called for some unavoidable personal compromise that I was unwilling to make.  As a track athlete, if I had gone to a Division I school, I wouldn’t have been able to run. If I had gone to an academically specialized business school, I would have had to surrender my freedom to pursue multiple academic interests. Going to Wes wouldn’t cost me anything, and for a future economist like myself, that is optimal.

ACADEMIC
INTERESTS:

Although easily dismissed as a dry subject, economic theory is applicable to nearly every aspect of life. The more I talked about economics, the more I discovered this revelation.  Econ is more than merely supply and demand. It is the scientific art of decision-making, an art I truly wish to master.

FAVORITE CLASS:

Econ101: Introduction to Economics – Richard Adelstein. Before this class, I had an interest in economics. After this class, I am passionate about economics. Professor Adelstein’s infectious enthusiasm and dynamic charisma set the example of what the learning process should be: fun, stimulating, and engaging.

CAMPUS
ACTIVITIES:

Men’s Track and Field
WesFest / SOC Intern
Invisible Men

WHY I CHOSE TO BE A TOUR GUIDE:

I want to bring out those aspects of Wesleyan that would make it clear to students that they belong at Wes.  Whereas a WesFest Intern works behind the scenes and a front desk worker is a boon to administrative projects, a tour guide is out using the campus as the perfect background to engage prospective students and establish a personal connection with them.

FAVORITE MOVIE:

Liar Liar

FAVORITE SONG:

La Vida Es Un Carnival by Celia Cruz

FUN FACT:

My first, middle, and last names all have seven letters.

I am a Pokémon Master, catching all 151 original Pokémon.
