WHY I CHOSE WES:

I literally just stepped onto Wesleyan’s campus and fell in love with it. Something about the hodge-podge architecture, the wide open vastness of Andrus, and the smiling people walking by just enchanted me. As I learned more about what Wesleyan stands for and the way the academics work, I feel in love even more.

ACADEMIC
INTERESTS:

I came to Wesleyan intending to be a Theater and Biology double major with the Environmental Studies certificate. After some deep collegiate thinking, I realized that I wanted to keep theater as a hobby without making it a career. Then, after a year of biology classes, I realized that Biology was not the right major for me. I wanted an interesting major that melded science and the humanities, and Psychology is perfect for that. In Fall 2013, I took The Language of Hollywood and decided to indulge in Wesleyan’s incredible film program through the minor.

FAVORITE CLASS:

I think my favorite class at Wesleyan was my Creating Children’s Books course, taught by Amy Bloom. We brainstormed, wrote, and illustrated our own children’s books. I became very good friends with a lot of the class, as well as the professor, and that’s what sparked my love for children’s entertainment, where I now hope to make my career!

CAMPUS
ACTIVITIES:

Creation of Wesleyan’s first drag club, BELLIG
Student Theater acting and directing
Queer community

Wesleyan Ampersand contributor

WHY I CHOSE TO BE A TOUR GUIDE:

I’ve wanted to be a tour guide since my first college tour. I think it’s the perfect combination of my loves for public speaking, acting, and bragging about Wesleyan.
