WHY I CHOSE WES:

When looking at schools I was drawn to smaller liberal arts schools rather than large research universities, which may seem strange given my interest in pursuing a science degree. However, Wesleyan offers an excellent education in the sciences, while still providing the flexible, diverse curriculum and intimate atmosphere of a liberal arts school.

ACADEMIC
INTERESTS:
Pretty much anything in the natural sciences, but especially biology. I’ve always been interested in the sciences, but in my first year at Wes I branched out a bit and developed a keen interest in the social sciences as well, taking classes in history, econ, and government.
FAVORITE CLASS:
My favorite class so far has been Introduction to International Relations. I honestly don’t remember why I decided to take this class, but it was fascinating and provoked a strong interest in international relations. I really learned how to analyze and understand historical and current events by thinking about politics and policies on an international scale.
CAMPUS
ACTIVITIES:
Outing Club
SHOFCO
ASCEND Tutor
WHY I CHOSE TO BE A TOUR GUIDE:
So far I have had an amazing experience at Wes, and I want to help prospective students get an idea of what Wes could offer to them. When I was going through the college application process, campus tours were an important part of my decision making process.
FAVORITE MOVIE:
21 Jump Street
Mean Girls
FAVORITE SONG:
Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
FUN FACT:
I grew up in 5 different countries.
