WesFest is a three-day celebration of all things Wesleyan. We invite all admitted students and their families to visit Wesleyan between Wednesday, April 12th and Friday, April 14th to experience University life first-hand and explore the diverse opportunities that a Wesleyan education has to offer. Stay for a day, an afternoon or more! Come celebrate your admission to the Class of 2021.

For many decades Betty Tishler was a fixture at Wesleyan musical events and she provided for an annual competition and winner's recital. This year Arienna Liu (2020) and Yujie Cai (2020) will share a varied program of music by Beethoven, Ravel, Schostakovich, Bach and Lizst. A reception will follow in Zelnick Pavilion.

Each year Chemistry majors put on a show for prospective students that allows them to gain perspective on undergraduate life as Wes through controlled, colorful and explosive reactions. The Wesleyan Doula Project presents: Reproductive Justice in the Age of Trump
Loretta Ross, feminist activist and founder of SisterSong Women of Color Collective, is one of the coiners of the term 'reproductive justice,' which is a philosophy that recognizes the limitations of reproductive rights and bases reproductive health activism on an intersectional human rights framework. Ross furthers the conversation on abortion and birth to look at issues of access and economic justice for abortion as well as support for pregnant people who want to give birth and their ability to raise their children in healthy environments. Two FGSS majors will serve as discussants, followed by a Q and A.

Spanish Play: Un Hogar Solido
Please, join us for Elena Garro's one act play Un hogar solido (A Solid Home), in which a family crypt becomes the waiting room where multiple branches and generations of relatives wax nostalgic about life and speculate about what lies ahead for them beyond the tomb. Although written in 1957, this play promises a timeless take on life after death. This performance will be in Spanish.
