AOC Luncheon and Leadership Conversation with Sonia Mañjon
December 11, 2009 – New York City
Hosted by Wesleyan Trustee Mora McLean ’77 and George Suttles Jr. ’03
Sonia Mañjon, vice president for diversity and strategic partnerships, is eager to build connections with alumni and to explore strategies for increased alumni engagement with the university. Nineteen black alumni joined her for a lunchtime conversation about leadership. Vice President Mañjon looks forward to many more such conversations around the country.

Three Kings Day Celebration
January 9, 2009 – New York, NY
Sponsored by the Wesleyan Latino Alumni Network (WesLAN)
More than 60 alumni attended the third annual Three Kings Day Celebration to celebrate the popular Latino holiday and simultaneously raise money for the Wesleyan Fund. This event has grown in size over the past three years and is fast becoming a wonderful New York Club tradition.

Lunar New Year Celebrations
January 23, 2009 – Washington D.C. and February 8, 2009 – Oakland, CA
Hosted and Coordinated by Daphne Kwok ’84 and Aimee Eng ’03
This year we were able to host two Lunar New Year Celebrations. Lunar New Year in Washington D.C. brought out more than 50 alumni, parents, and friends, and we look forward to doing it again next year!

Reception with Michael Roth for Alumni from Africa and the West Indies
February 4, 2009 – New York City
Hosted by Wesleyan Trustee Mora McLean ’77 and Steven Pfeiffer ’69
Sixty-two alumni attended a reception for Alumni from Africa and the West Indies. Michael Roth was eager to meet with alumni and learn about their experiences on campus and since graduation.
