Letter from the Director

Dear Members of the Alumni of Color Community,

As you may know, Ciaran Escoffery ’00 has decided to leave Wesleyan to pursue some of her other interests. Ciaran has been a valuable member of the Alumni and Parent Relations team for the past four years. Her warmth, intelligence, sense of humor, and sincere dedication to her work are just some of the traits I appreciate in Ciaran. We will certainly miss her.

We have time in the coming months to celebrate Ciaran and to wish her well before she leaves on June 30th. And we know we won’t really be saying “good-bye” because Ciaran’s love for Wesleyan and our desire to keep her engaged will ensure a continued connection.

With Ciaran’s departure, we have an opportunity to hire an assistant director of regional programming and networks. The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations is seeking an assistant director to join an experienced, enthusiastic team of professionals to engage alumni and parents in the life of the University.

Working closely with volunteers, the assistant director will develop and implement events in select regional areas. As staff liaison to the Alumni of Color Network and to the lesbian and queer alumni community (LGBTQ Alumni Network), ze will engage volunteers and work with them to plan functions that will connect alumni within these networks.
