ODC Dance. Local Heroes: New TraditionalistsDescription: Join Wesleyan alumni, friends, and family for a pre-show reception with Rob Bailis, Director of the ODC Theater followed by a contemporary dance performance and a post-show reception with Hearan Chung, Colette Eloi and Vishnu Tattva Das.ODC Theater Festival 2 looks at artists of the arriving generation, those visionaries who are leading the way to new expressions of our regional identity. Turning for inspiration to both the cultural and aesthetic lineages of our region, we have collected six artists, each representative of a different community or creative tradition. From the elegant ballet to fiery Haitian dance, sensual Indian Odissi, to upright modern, we will be exploring the diverse threads of our cultural composition. This performance is part of the ODC Theater Festival 2: Local Heroes/Big Picture, which runs June 26-28, July 17-19, and July 24-26 at Project Artaud Theater
