In the
Toolsmenu, underOptions…again, click onIncoming Mail. Select eitherPOPorIMAP. What’s the difference? POP is an older, light-weight protocol that is designed to hold your mail on the server until you check it, and then to delete it once you download the mail to your computer. IMAP is a newer, more interactive protocol that enables you to view your mail on the server from your computer. IMAP is ideal for people who use more than one computer to check their e-mail with a program like Outlook or Eudora. In this case it works best to configure both instances of Eudora to use IMAP.) -
You should soon be prompted for your password. If you are not prompted for your password within a few minutes, go under the
Toolsmenu toOptionsagain and selectChecking Menufrom the left column. UnderCheck for mail every — minutesenter a 1. You should then be prompted for your password in approximately one minute. -
Note that it may take a few minutes to load your Wesleyan e-mail in Eudora. To view the status of your loading e-mails, click on the spinning yin-yang symbol near the bottom right corner.
