Google Apps Transition

This page currently applies to 2009 alumni/googlegraduating students only.

Wesleyan University has started the process of switching to Google Apps for e-mail for new alumni and will soon be offering this option to all alumni.

Overview

Many questions can be answered at the ITS Google Apps Blog. It contains detailed information, links and articls on preserving settings, navigating and operation needs, retrieving contacts and message logs, and configuring your email clients to work with your new Google Apps E-mail.

FAQ

Q: Is my Email Address going to change?
A: No, your email Address will be the same. All routing is done server side, but you should notice no difference.

Q: How will I sign into my email?
A: The same way you sign in now. If through the ePortfolio system of WesNet, you can simply access your Google Mail by clicking on the Email button. If you use another program to access your email, please see the ITS Google Apps Blog concerning details and instructions.

Q: How can I reset my password?
A: The same way you currently do. If you are able to log in, you can reset your password via the Password Manager within WesNet, else, contact the Alumni Help desk below. Your Google Apps password will be automatically updated.
