Social Networking
UR is currently looking at the best ways to facilitate the Wesleyan presence on social networking sites. Please send us your thoughts and comments.
WesNet
WesNet is a core toolkit for connecting with the alumni community, accessing services and managing your Wesleyan identity. Main features include the Alumni Directory, access points for the CRC, and e-mail account management. Sign up now.
All alumni have a Wesleyan e-mail account which can be used to join the official Wesleyan Network on Facebook. Your Wesleyan e-mail can be used as a full-service account, or simply as a forwarding address to an alternate account. If you would like to activate your Wesleyan account please follow the instructions on Signing Up for WesNet.
If you join the Wesleyan network using your Wesleyan address, you would join as an alumna or alumnus, and this would identify you to other members of the Wesleyan network as such. It would also enable you to join Wesleyan Groups that require Wesleyan network membership (some do, but not all). You can also create your own group using the Groups application. Make it a “global” group if you wanted to get around the e-mail account restriction of a Wesleyan network-based group.
You might like to visit the Welseyan Facebook Page to get started, or visit the Facebook Help Center for further details.
There is a Wesleyan Alumni group on LinkedIn.
