Village Life in the Dordogne
This delightful sojourn in the heart of provincial France expresses the essence of the “Village Life” program philosophy. You will spend seven nights in Sarlat-la-Caneda, known throughout France as one of Europe’s most perfectly preserved medieval towns boasting the greatest concentration of medieval, renaissance and 17th century facades of any town in Europe. You will stay at the Hotel de Madeleine, whose proprietor is a renowned chef and a local politician who plays a key role in architectural preservation of the town. You will visit the famed prehistoric caves of the Perigord region, medieval villages, pilgrimage sites and exquisite chateaux. An exclusive Village Forum will provide you with a fascinating and candid look at the history, politics, society and contemporary issues facing Sarlat and fellow villages of the Perigord Noir.

»Price: $2,595 including airfare, accommodations, meals, and excursions.
