TANZANIA SAFARI DURING THE GREAT MIGRATION
February 7–17, 2010
Travel with us into the wilds of Tanzania where herds of elephant, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and Cape buffalo roam the savannas, followed by the lions, cheetahs, and leopards that prey on them. Rivaling the grandeur of Tanzania’s wildlife is the panoramic sweep of its scenery including the snow-crowned summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and the expansive grasslands of the Serengeti.
We’ll also visit the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to one of most dense and diverse wildlife populations, savannas, forests and wetlands, and is enclosed by 2,000-foot-high walls of an ancient caldera. This safari program provides opportunities to mingle with Masai tribesmen and local schoolchildren, and to learn about Tanzania’s wildlife and environment from our naturalist-guide. Accommodations feature some of the region’s finest lodges.
Price: $4,995 plus airfare
A Zanzibar post-program option is available.
