LONDON THEATRE INSIGHTS
Presented by Wesleyan University and Smith College
March 13–20, 2010
Join alumni, parents, and friends of Wesleyan and Smith College for an extraordinary, weeklong theater getaway, where you’ll see four world-class plays: one at the Royal Shakespeare Company; two on the London stage; and one at the Rose Theatre in Kingston.
You’ll enjoy Sir Peter Hall’s production of Midsummer Night’s Dream starring Dame Judi Dench, plus intimate backstage discussions with leading actors at the Old Vic and the RSC, and will meet one of London’s top theatre critics.
Accommodations for your theatre holiday will be at the four-star Cavendish Hotel in St. James’s, an elegant part of the West End, and will include a day-long excursion to Stratford-on-Avon. In Stratford you’ll visit Shakespeare’s daughter’s home, and Holy Trinity Church, where he was baptized.
