Thomas Wu has worked for Wesleyan in a variety of ways: with the Wesleyan Annual Fund initially at phonathons, then as a class agent, and finally for two years as Annual Fund vice chair. He served as president of his class from 1982 to 1987 and chaired their 15th Reunion. In 1989, he received a Wesleyan Alumni Service Award. After graduating, Mr. Wu received an MBA from New York University, and over the next 25 years he worked for Peat Marwick, General Electric, Colgate-Palmolive, and Sara Lee Corporation in New York, London, and Hong Kong. His last assignment was managing director for corporate development in Asia for Sara Lee. Since retiring from corporate life, Mr. Wu has been active in his children’s school. He, his wife, Celia, and their four children, aged eleven to three, moved from Hong Kong to the Seattle area in 2005.
