Faculty post to be specialty under "Sexuality Studies" within American Studies; Administrative approval awaits Bennet’s confirmation

A Queer Studies program appears to be on its way. A new faculty position within the American Studies Department was approved by the Office of Academic Affairs on Thursday, according to sources. As of Friday morning the program did not have full confirmation from the Administration, but Academic Affairs has authorized the program, according to students in contact with faculty who had pushed for a Queer Studies program.

Happy, healthy students and faculty attend Well Being fair

Carrots, condoms, and Cape Cod potato chips graced the tables of the Well Being Fair held in Downey House on Thurday from 11am to 4pm. Downey House was virtually transformed by the plethora of tables surrounded by colorful posters and covered with pamphlets, providing a welcoming feeling to all who walked though its doors.

While Wesleyan students raced home or to exotic destinations for fall break this past October, Patrick Dowdey, curator of the new exhibit "Living Through the Forgotten War: Portrait of Korea," went to the National Archives in Washington, D.C. to cull through several thousand pictures of the Korean War.

Women’s tennis takes down Uconn

The Wesleyan women’s tennis team traveled up to Storrs, CT this past Wednesday to take on the mighty Huskies of the University of Connecticut (UConn), and returned home a few hours later with a gutty 4-2 win over the Big East powerhouse.
