On Saturday, some students will take pat in National Volutneer Week by either helping to clean Main Street or building a house on Washington Street.

The Wes defense came out strong in the first half, halting most attempts by WNEC to score before the offense was able to pull away to a commanding lead.

Our defense is really coming together and communicating with each other much better," said Andrew Rotundo ’02.

Goalie Lukas Cash ’01 was particularly instrumental in keeping WNEC’s score low.

"Luke played phenomenally," praised teammate Rob Wilcox ’01.

By the second quarter, the Cardinals’ offense began to take off, lead by John Landay ’01, Pat Reid ’01 and Rotundo. The Cardinals’ shooting potential continues to increase as the
season progresses.

"The pieces of our team are coming together like Voltron and soon we will be unstoppable," commented Landay.

The only low point for the Cardinals was the unprecedented amount of time spent in the penalty box; they allegedly broke the school’s record for the number of penalties with a
whopping 18.

The Men’s Lacrosse team is well aware that it will have to bolster its intensity for the upcoming game against Amherst.

"When we are able to relax and play our game, we absolutely dominate," added Rotundo. The Cardinals will have their chance to dominate the Lord Jeffs at 2:30 this Saturday at home.
