Monday, April 10 Recovered Property—Foss Hill Public Safety recovered a computer stolen from a student and identified the student responsible for the theft. The student was referred to the Student Judicial Board. Fire Alarm—Foss Hill A smoke detector was activated for unknown reasons. Burglary—High St. A student reported the theft of a jacket and CDs. Burglary—Church St. A staff member reported the theft of cash and a computer from her office. Burglary—Church St. A staff member reported the theft of keys and several CDs from his office. Motor Vehicle Accident—Huber Ave. A University vehicle sustained minor damage when it was hit by another vehicle. Larceny—Church St. A student reported the theft of money from an ATM machine. Tuesday, April 11 Vandalism—Foss Hill Public Safety found four doors in the tunnels with the crashbars removed. Also, furniture had been spray painted. Disturbance—Hi-Rise Public Safety responded to a report of a verbal dispute between roommates. Disorderly Conduct—High St. Public Safety responded to a report of a verbal dispute between a staff member and a group of students. Wednesday, April 12 Vandalism—Huber Ave. Public Safety found an interior stairwell entry door with glass and the frame missing. Loud Music—In-town Loud Noise—Fountain Ave. Larceny—Cross St. A visitor reported the theft of money and jewelry. Fire Alarm—High St. The fire system was activated because of dust in a smoke detector. Larceny—Church St. A student reported the theft of his unsecured bicycle. Fire Alarm—Foss Hill The fire system was activated by smoke from candles on a cake. Thursday, April 13 Fire—Warren St. Public Safety observed a small fire in a backyard with students in the area. They were advised to extinguish the fire for safety reasons. Loud Noise—Lawn Ave. Suspicious Circumstances—Lawn Ave. Public Safety responded to a report of an individual selling stereo speakers from his van. The vehicle was located and information given to the Middletown Police Department. Larceny—High St. A student reported the theft of her jacket and wallet. Medical Assistance—Church St. Public Safety responded to a report of a sick student who was transported to the Health Center. Motor Vehicle Accident—Church St. Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a University vehicle. 911 Hang-up Call—Washington St. Public Safety responded to a 911 hang-up call; a student had misdialed a long distance call. Medical Assistance—Church St. A student reported falling earlier in the day on campus. Intoxicated Person—Vine St. Public Safety responded to a report of an intoxicated person. Upon checking the area, the person was not found. Damage to a Motor Vehicle—Court St. A student reported her vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked on Court St. Suspicious Persons—High St. Public Safety observed a group of people on a roof of a building. The group were students who were advised to leave the area. Friday, April 14 Loud Noise—Lo-Rise Water Leak—High St. Public Safety observed water coming through the ceiling. Physical Plant was notified. Saturday, April 15 Disorderly Conduct—Church St. Public Safety observed a student hitting a street sign with a wiffle bat. Vandalism—Church St. Public Safety found a broken window pane in a door in a residence hall. Vandalism—Church St. Public Safety found a fire exit sign had been damaged. Loud Noise—Huber Ave. Verbal Dispute—Court St. Public Safety responded to a verbal dispute between students who are neighbors. A student was referred to the Student Judicial Board. Vandalism to Motor Vehicle—Hamlin St. Public Safety responded to a report of a broken window on a University vehicle. Medical Assistance—Foss Hill Public Safety responded to a report of an ill student who was transported to the Health Center.
