Eclectic reacts to offensive, fake bulletin broadcast

On Friday night a bulletin broadcast was sent by members of Eclectic to the Wesleyan community in the name of Alpha Delta Phi. A transcript of this bulletin reads as follows: "All right, what’s up ya’ll? This is Alpha Delta Phi in the house. Coming up this Saturday night, we’re having a colored party for all you coloreds out there."

Alum Tavio Turkish speaks of race, labor and human commodification

Tavio Nyongo Turkish’s lecture "Intercourse Across the Color Line in the Antebellum United States" turned out a large crowd on Monday evening at Russell house. The talk also spurred conversation amongst students and faculty concerning issues of race, labor and the commodification of human beings.

Men’s Basketball finishes season strong

The Wesleyan men’s basketball team finished the regular season this weekend with home victories over Tufts, 94-91, and Bates, 94-77. With these wins the Cardinals improve their record to 14-9 overall, 6-3 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), and clinch the #3 seed in the upcoming NESCAC tournament .
