| Public Safety Brief |
Two Wesleyan students have been identified as the perpetrators in recent on-campus burglaries, according to Director of Public Safety Maryann Wiggin. Wiggin said two Foss Hill dorm residents discovered that their laptop computers were missing upon returning from Fall Break on Sunday, Oct. 24. Investigations by Public Safety and the Middletown Police ensued. The burglars entered the rooms through unlocked windows, Wiggin said. The follow-up investigation by Public Safety led to the identification of the two people involved," Wiggin said. Wiggin would not release the names of the two students, who she said acted together in the thefts. Student Judiciary Board charges have been filed and criminal charges are pending, according to Wiggin. "We have recovered some property and anyone who has anything missing that has not previously reported that should do so," she said. Wiggin also recommended everyone lock their windows and doors whenever they leave home and report any suspicious activity. |
