Report on faculty governance shrouded in secrecy

confidential nature of the report. The Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) has requested a copy of the report and President Bennet said he will consider making its details known to

Administration leads by example... or exemption?
On Friday, Oct. 20, approximately 300 people attended the Trustee dinner, which was a formal suit-and-tie event. Fifteen to 20 students, most of whom were on the Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA), attended the gathering as well. Wine glasses adorned each place setting; everyone was served wine, indiscriminate of his or her age. Underage students have admitted to drinking wine at the event. These facts leave us confused about the Administration’s apparently tough stance on the enforcement of the alcohol policy.

Religion majors respond to charge of campus godlessness

Anna Sobel ’01 would argue with Wesleyan’s recent reputation as a religiously apathetic university. Every Friday, she and 40 other spiritually motivated Jewish students celebrate
Shabbat at the Bayit House with songs, prayers, food and conversations.
"As soon as I came to Wesleyan I was like, yes I want to celebrate Shabbat!" Sobel said.
