University to unveil fundraising campaign

An endorsement for Al Gore
Politically speaking, Wesleyan is a liberal university. As such, Al Gore and
Ralph Nader, the Green Party’s presidential candidate, appear to be
garnering the majority of students’ votes. As Election Day nears, we
deemed it appropriate to endorse a presidential candidate. After much
debate, we chose Gore, and came to the conclusion the Gore’s platform
most closely matched our political views.

Students tackle gun violence

On Thursday night, a group of approximately 50 Wesleyan students
came to PAC 001 to discuss gun violence in America.
The event, entitled "First Monday 2000: Unite to End Gun Violence" was
created by First Monday, a national group that hold events such as this
on the first Monday of October of every year.
