US News & World Report shows stable Wes ranking

US News & World Report placed Wesleyan tenth for the second year in a row in its annual ranking of the top 50 national liberal arts schools in the United States. "I am pleased that Wesleyan is again recognized on US News’ list of the top liberal arts s=chools in the nation, and that we have made the magazine’s list of best values in education," said President of the University Doug Bennet.    tri  more...

The Tradition Continues...
The Class of 2001 can now sigh with relief after learning the long-standing tradition of Senior Cocktails will continue. Senior cocktails may be moved to third-party venue

Hurdling the presence of a new alcohol policy, senior class officers and University lawyers will meet this week to discuss the fate of Senior Cocktails. So last Friday morning we were about to indulge in our daily admiration of our page on the Argus website, when all of a sudden, it wasn’t there. You see, it turns out that the Argus also publishes on Fridays also. Fridays! Who knew? Needless to say we were disappointed. But what the hell we said. Maybe it’s worth taking a look at. Well, it wasn’t, but we can’t say it wasn’t educational.

The new tops the old in alumni soccer game

Last Sunday the Wesleyan men’s soccer team took the field against some old teammates when they faced off against the Wesleyan Alumni team. Although many of the players on the opposing teams were friends, the competition was by no means friendly. Despite a lop-sided 3-1 undergraduate victory, it was a very competitive game.
