US News & World Report shows stable Wes ranking

US News & World Report placed Wesleyan tenth for the second year in a row in its annual ranking of the top 50 national liberal arts schools in the United States. "I am pleased that Wesleyan is again recognized on US News’ list of the top liberal arts s=chools in the nation, and that we have made the magazine’s list of best values in education,"

The Tradition Continues...
The Class of 2001 can now sigh with relief after learning the long-standing tradition of Senior Cocktails
will continue. Seniors have been eagerly anticipating this tradition since their arrival as frosh, and we view
this decision as a continuation of our rights as students rather than a privilege that we have just earned
back.

Senior cocktails may be moved to third-party
venue

Hurdling the presence of a new alcohol policy, senior class officers and University lawyers will meet this week to discuss the fate of Senior Cocktails. According to Senior Class President Jim Sullivan ’01, the officers are facing logistical problems because of the newly enforced liquor laws.
