Elections lukewarm, WSA looks to future

Despite lackluster voter turnout, the Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) kicked off the year promising to be a more proactive student government. President Andrew Calica ’01 announced his plan to completely overhaul the existing WSA Constitution in an extensive yearlong initiative to allow the WSA to function more actively.

WSA faces poor voter turnout once again
With a reluctant sigh, we find ourselves addressing the Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) once again, in light of the poor voter turnout that seems to typify the WSA elections. This year, 571 students cast their votes in the elections, which constitutes a mere 21 percent of the student body.

Women’s tennis dominates doubles, comes through clutch in singles

Women’s tennis heated up the courts this weekend with 5-4 victories over both Vassar College and Bowdoin College. Despite the threat of inclement weather, the Cardinals (2-0) took on Vassar outside on Friday. The match commenced with three doubles pro-sets.
