Bring the Cannon home
Rumor has it that the whereabouts of the Douglas Cannon are known by a group of students on campus. The tradition of stealing the cannon began in 1957, and since then cannon has traveled all over the world with kidnappers that include students, alumni, and friends of the University. The disappearance of cannon has always served as good-humored fun, and adds to its colorful history.

Thomas, Brantley lead Cardinals to victory in season opener

The football team opened its season on the road Saturday at Tufts University, surviving the game against the Jumbos by a score of 16-7. With three and a half minutes left to play, Tufts scored its first points of the game on a touchdown pass by quarterback Matt Cerne, cutting Wesleyan’s lead to 10-7.
