Kate Ten Eyck received a BFA in sculpture from RISD and an MFA in printmaking from the Hartford Art School. For five years she worked at Oddfellows Playhouse, a job that involved theatrical design, technical theater and community outreach. Since 2000 she has been the Art Studio Technician at Wesleyan University and more recently has served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Wesleyan. Her prints and sculpture have been exhibited throughout the East Coast. Her work with the multi-disciplinary Lower Lights Collective has been performed at such New York venues as the Chocolate Factory, Galapagos and the Improvised and Otherwise Festival at BRICstudio. Kate is also a musician and several of her compositions have been recorded by her husband, jazz pianist Noah Baerman. They live in Middletown with their two daughters.
