2004 Alumni Game

The Wesleyan baseball alums traveled all the way to Malibu High School in California and its field overlooking the Pacific Ocean in March. The day kicked off with a tune-up scrimmage by the current Wes varsity team, followed by the old-timers showing their stuff. Top performances came from MVP Harold Shively ’59 on the mound, while Craig Brewer ’95 was strong in a rare appearance. Numerous alums traveled 3,000 miles for the game, including Brewer, Rick Plummer ’94, Mike MacClary ’93 and Andy McGrath ’93. Local Californians included Noah Garrison ’95, Brett Mathews ’98, Charlie Kaplan ’00, Will James ’02, Larry Sher ’92, and Will Brandenburger ’95.

The day ended with a fine sunset barbecue for the entire Wesleyan family. Thanks to Paul Gallo and all the alums for making it a great day.
