WESLEYAN FIELD HOCKEY "PLAYS FOR THE CURE" AT COLBY, SAT., OCT. 4, 2008

As part of a NESCAC-wide initiative, Wesleyan field hockey donned pink "Play for the Cure" t-shirts during warm-up of its field hockey game at Colby, Sat., Oct. 4, 2008, in recognition of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the nation's leading organization for breast cancer research.  All field hockey teams in the NESCAC did the same while pink balloons, pink game balls and tables distributing breast cancer awareness information also were brought into play.  In addtion, collections were taken at the sites for the benefit of the Komen Foundation.
