Undefeated during their current home stand and winners of four in a row overall, the Cardinals got an overtime goal from Maddie Rottman '08 (#13, photo courtesy of SteveMcLaughlinPhotography.com) with just 1:20 left in the initial overtime stanza to take a 2-1 decision from Colby Sat., Oct. 6. The win avenged the Cards' OT loss at Colby a year ago. Allie Lynch '11 assisted on the game-winner, her second helper of the game as she set up Jamie Thabault '11 for the game's opening goal midway thrugh the second half. Colby scored two minutes later, the last goal of regulation. Wesleyan held a resounding 26-9 edge in shots including 11 during the 13:40 played in overtime. The Cards play out-of-conference opponent Eastern Conn. Wed., Oct. 10, a team Wesleyan has beaten all three times the squads have met previously.
