Williams got its first score on a 45-yard burst by Mike McAdam just 1:46 after Wesleyan took the lead, but the point-after kick was blocked. A 20-yard pass from Sean Keenan (10-of-21, 154 yards) to Ryan Sigrist (seven catches for 80 yards) ended the day's scoring with 4:38 to play.
Wesleyan dominated the time of possession with a 37-23 minute margin as Wesleyan gained 281 yards from its scoring drives of 86, 55, 60, and 80 yards. Wesleyan finished with 384 yards to Williams' 307. Williams turned the ball over four times in the contest while Wesleyan went without a miscue.
