Zach Librizzi '08 (#12, main photo by SteveMcLaughlinPhotograpy.com) found Ryan Walsh '09 (#7, photo insert lower right) for a 53-yard TD late in the second quarter to give Wesleyan a 7-0 lead at halftime during the Cardinals encouter at Hamilton Sat., Sept. 29. When Chris Helsel '09 made good on a career-long 35-yard field goal during the third period to make it 10-0, it stood up as the margin of victory in a 10-9 Wesleyan win. Librizzi finished the day with a career-best 363 yards passing on 27-of-53 efficiency while Walsh yanked down 10 aerials for 188 yards, also career-high figures. Defensively, Wesleyan got three interceptions from Andrew Fiola '09, two of them in the fourth quarter to halt Hamilton scoring attempts. Pete Overman '10 was in on 11 tackles, two of them for a loss including 1.5 sacks. Wesleyan hosts Colby Sat., Oct. 6 in its next start.
