Carding a round of 71 on opening day and a two-day 152 total, Pete Taylor '12 (photo) paced the Cardinals to a seventh-place showing among 10 teams at the NESCAC Championship Qualifier hosted by Middlebury Sat.-Sun., Sept. 27-28. Middlebury, Trinity, Hamilton and Williams took the top four spots to qualify for the spring conference championship event. Taylor placed 10th among the 50 competitors in the NESCAC field, earning him second-team all-NESCAC accolades. Placing in a tie for 18th as the Cardinals' number-two finisher was Eli Wilson '09 with a 78-76-154 score. Wesleyan posted a team score of 633. Middlebury's winning score was a stellar 593. Ahead for the team is the second tournament hosted by Trinity this fall, coming up Sat.-Sun., Oct. 11-12.
