NCAA Banned Drugs and Medical Exceptions Policy
As of August 2009, The NCAA will be applying a more
strict policy in regard to medical exemptions for specific banned substances
when a student-athlete presents a positive drug test.

Banned Drugs and Medical Exceptions Policy. Random drug testing may take
place at any time during the year for all levels of NCAA participation as
well as during post season play. Certain prescribed medications used for
evaluated and documented medical conditions may result in a positive drug
test due to the medication being included on the NCAA banned substance list.
The following links and information will help ensure that each
student-athlete at Wesleyan has submitted the appropriate documentation to
facilitate exemptions when necessary.
It is the responsibility of the student athlete to read
all of the following information and complete any and all of the information
necessary as indicated by the NCAA. For specific examples of appropriate use

It is the
responsibility of the student - athlete to answer all questions on the
medical history forms as completely and honestly as possible and to make
sure that all required documentation is provided to the athletic training
staff before participation takes place.
