Joseph Fountain, Director of Athletic Injury Care, has worked in collegiate athletics for over twenty years. Joe came to Wesleyan University in 1986 as the assistant athletic trainer, a position he held until 1990. Joe moved on to be head athletic trainer at Trinity College for nine years, before returning to Wesleyan University in his present position in 2000.

Joe received his Bachelor's degree in education from Northeastern University in 1983 and his Masters of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts in 1990. Joe has been a resident of Middletown since his arrival to Wesleyan in 1986. Joe spends his free time with his family consisting of his wife Linda and two sons Joe and Christian.
