Kelsey Logan, M.D. Kelsey Logan is a
sports medicine fellowship-trained internist and pediatrician. She is an
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of
Medicine and on the faculty at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center's
Elite Sports Medicine. She joined Elite Sports Medicine in the fall of 2006
after finishing her fellowship in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine
at the University of Wisconsin. While at Wisconsin, Kelsey was a physician
for many teams, including the 2006 and 2007 National Champion Women's Ice
Hockey teams. She also worked closely with football, women's basketball,
softball and women's soccer. She helped cover Big 10 championship
tournaments in a variety of sports and twice covered the Badgers in the
Capital One Bowl. In addition, she was medical co-director of the Mad City
Marathon in 2006.
Dr. Logan completed her BSE in Sports Medicine at Samford University in
Birmingham, AL and was an intercollegiate golfer there. She graduated from
medical school at the University of Alabama and then completed a combined
internal medicine and pediatric residency at the University of Mississippi
Medical Center. In addition to musculoskeletal injuries, Kelsey has special
interests in concussions, cardiovascular risk in athletes and issues
concerning the female athlete. |
