Medical Clearance for Spring Sports 2008

I. Medical Clearance

1. All athletes are required to go through medical clearance prior to participating in official team practices and testing.

2. Athletes who are participating in fall or winter sports must go through medical clearance again. Winter athletes cannot be cleared for
    spring sports until the completion of their winter team's season.

II. Medical Clearance Procedures:

1. Report to Athletic Injury Care for medical clearance, as scheduled below.

2. Bring your COMPLETED Wesleyan Athletic Injury Care Medical History form. The Medical History form is available on the AIC
    web site or by clicking here.

3. Bring a copy of the front and back of your medical insurance card. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO THROUGH MEDICAL
    CLEARANCE WITHOUT THIS COPY!

4. Do not work out in the 3 hours prior to your medical clearance time.

III. Medical Clearance Schedule for Spring Sports - 2007/08

Monday, February 4
1:00-2:30 pm -- Baseball

Tuesday, February 5
1:00-2:30 -- Softball and Women's Lacrosse

Wednesday, February 6
1:00-2:30 pm -- Men's Lacrosse

Thursday, February 7
1:00-2:30 pm -- Men's Lacrosse

If the athlete has a schedule conflict with the date their team's scheduled date please contact Vicky Graham (vgraham@wesleyan.edu) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for an alternate date and time.

Golf, tennis, crew and track athletes who did not participate in the fall should either call or stop by the Athletic Injury Care office to make arrangements.

NOTICE: ImPACT Testing:

1. All athletes participating in collision and contact sports are required to have a baseline ImPACT test as part of medical clearance.

2. You will receive additional information about ImPACT, and test schedule information, in a separate e-mail.
