RACE-BY-RACE SUMMARY OF 2002-03 SEASON

FALL NOTES

 

Hartford Riverfront Recapture Regatta - 10/6/02 in Hartford, Conn.
The men had three boats entered. In the college first varsity 8 event, Wesleyan finished 4th (14:10.5) in a field of eight entrants. In the college second varsity 8 event, Wesleyan finished 3rd (13:55.7) out of four boats. The college novice 8 placed 4th (15:21) of six entrants.

Head of the Connecticut Regatta - 10/13/02 in Hartford, Conn.
The men had five boats entered. The varsity 8 competed in the intermediate eight race, and placed sixth (16:49.7) of 18 boats. The novice eight came in eighth (19:08.77) in a field of 14 crews. Two entries in the championship four placed 13th (19:34.89) and 25th (22:17.45) of 26. Wesleyan also had a novice four compete, placing 12th (24.07.23) of 12 competitors.

Head of the Charles Regatta - 10/19-20/02 in Boston, Mass.
The men had three boats entered. The varsity 8 competed in the collegiate eight race, and placed eighth (15:54.47) of 41 boats. Wesleyan also had an entry in the club 4 event, finishing 41st of 64 crews. An alumni boat also represent Wesleyan in the master's 8 race, placing 43rd of 44 boats.

Coast Guard and Holy Cross - 3/29/03 in Worcester, Mass.
