FALL NOTES
 
Textile River Regatta - 10/1/00 in Lowell, Mass.
The men had four boats entered with the novices capturing the title among nine entries in the novice 8. In other races, Wesleyan was sixth of 39 in the open 4, 14th (tied) of 29 in the club 8 and seventh (tied) of 19 in the open eight. Alumnus and current assistant coach Gulliver Scott `97 was second of four in the novice singles while former assistant coach and alumnus Nick McQuaid `96 was second of five in the open singles.
 
Head of the Connecticut Regatta - 10/8/00 in Middletown, Conn.
Unofficial results show the men's varsity heavyweight eight placing fouth of 24 in the intermediate eight event while two novice eight entries finished fifth and ninth of 15 in the college novice 8 event. A junior varsity four entry finished 13th of 24 in the open four race. On the alumni side, Tim Whitney `98 and Nick McQuaid `96 were second and fourth, respectively, in the open singles while Ben Flynn `02, who'll return to the team this spring, finished fifth. Wesleyan also had two alumni eight boats entered in the master's eight event and one alumni quad entry as well. Results of these boats are unavailable.
 
Head of the Charles Regatta - 10/21-22/00 in Boston, Mass.
With two entries in the Head of the Charles Regatta, Wesleyan's men placed 11th of 68 crews in the club 8 event with its varsity eight while a J.V. four came in 38th of 59 in the club 4 race.
