Hartford Riverfront Recapture Regatta - 10/5/03 in Hartford, Conn.
The men had six boats entered. In the college first varsity 8 event, Wesleyan finished 3rd (15:15) in a field of 10 entrants. With three boats in the college men's 4 race, Wesleyan placed 10th, 12th and 13th in a field of 16 crews.  The college novice 8 placed 5th (16:56) and 10th (18:51)of 13 entrants.

In total, eight boats represented Wesleyan in the HOCR.  In the men's intermediate 8 race, Wesleyan's varsity 8 placed 3rd (17:38) among 22 boats.  At the novice 8 level, the Cardinals finished 8th (18:29) and 11th (20:14) in a field of 18 entries.  Three varsity 4 entries competed in the men's championship four race, placing 12th (21:12), 14th (21:16) and 15th (21:35) out of 19 boats that competed.  Current assistant coach Kevin MacDermott '02 won the men's novice singles over four other entrants with a time of 24:10.  Wesleyan also had an alumni boat in the men's master's 8, placing 11th of 13.

Wesleyan varsity 8 raced to a 13th -place showing among 40 entries in the collegiate 8 event with a time of 15:40.  Wesleyan also had an entry in the club 4 and finished 20th among 42 boats with a time of 18:29.
