Glenn Adams '06, one of three Wesleyan three-time USILA Division III
All-Americans, completed his
third
season as a member of the Major League Lacrosse Long Island Lizards in
2009.
He has since been removed from the Lizards' active roster. After
seeing limited action as a member of the Lizards squad during the 2007
season,
Adams, a second-team USILA Division III All-American in both 2005 and
2006 after
earning honorable-mention accolades in 2004, worked his way into a
steady
spot as an offensive middie in 2008. In his opening three games of
2008, Adams netted six goals including a three-goal output during a
dramatic
20-19 victory over the Boston Cannons May 31. Adams put home the
game-tying goal in the closing seconds to force overtime as the Lizards
went on
to pull
out their first win of the season. The Lizards concluded the 2008
campaign
with a 5-7 mark as Adams played in 11 of the 12 contests, collecting 13
goals
along with eight assists for 21 points, good enough to rank seventh on
the squad
in scoring. Once again plagued by injury in 2009, Adams saw action in
just four
games, took six shots, had five ground balls and scored a goal.
Adams ranks fourth all-time in scoring at Wesleyan with
207 points on 90 goals and 117 assists, leading the Cardinals to their
first two
NCAA tournament appearances in 2005 (49 points) and 2006 (69 points).
Wesleyan also played in the NCAAs in 2007 and 2009.
