2009 ALUMNI GAME

With 12 former players on campus Sunday, Sept. 6, the current Cardinal varsity men's soccer squad had its hands full in a scrimmage.  Two of the players back to challenge the 2009 squad were All-Americans during their Wesleyan years.  The hail and hearty dozen gave it the old college try but the current varsity prevailed, 3-1, scoring the final two goals in the second half.  Attending the contest was (kneeling, L to R):  Matt Chiavaroli '03, Ozzie Parente '09, Justin Mello '08, Allie Levy '09, Eric Steffen '00 and Marion Stoj '74 as well as (standing, L to R):  Tom Smith '00, Alan Ashenfelter '09, Marcus Harley '00, Jared Ashe '07, Pat Dougherty '92, Paul Sheiffele '92 and Jim Kiehle '64 (referee).
