Posting a record of 12-8 during the 2008-09 campaign, the Cardinals had five seniors in the starting lineup. All have graduated, leaving just Michael Piderit '12 (photo) as a returning starter. He posted a team-leading 13-4 record, mainly from the #5 spot.

Despite a lack of varsity experience, the Cardinals will have a talented squad to maintain their winning ways. Garrett Blank '11 and Robert Troyer '12 saw some varsity play in 2008-09 and are back as lettermen. What is expected to give the squad its biggest lift this season in the influx of five newcomers, a majority of whom are expected to move into starting spots. The overall talent of the freshman class is extremely high.

The Cardinals initiate the fall portion of their campaign Sun., Sept. 13 by hosting Post and Manhattanville in separate matches. In total the squad has seven varsity dual matches slated for the fall including a battle with Little Three rival Amherst.
