Tommie Lark '12 Wins TJ & LJ at Wes Invite III, Skyler Cummins '13 Takes 3K - Lark Also Takes TJ in Near-Record Fashion at Northeastern While Austin Cotant '13 Sets Mile Mark
With 18 teams participating in the Wesleyan Invitational III Sat., Jan. 21, All-American Tommie Lark '12 (right side photo) outclasses the field in both the long jump and triple jump with substantial victories while Skyler Cummins '13 (left side photo) took a tight half-second triumph in the 3k as Wesleyan's other first-place finisher. Cummins won in a field of 29 runners, timed in 8:39.91. Lark took the triple jump by more than a foot with his 45-2 1/4 leap, defeating 17 other entrants. His 22-5 long jump was 5-1/2 inches further than his nearest competitor in a field of 26.
