Skyler Cummins '13, in 1500m, and Bryan Marsh '13, in 5k, Capture All-New England Open and All-ECAC Honors - Cummins Qualifies for NCAAs
Competing in second-to-last regular-season meet of their careers, Skyler Cummins '13 (left side photo) and Bryan Marsh '13 (right side photo) secured all-New England Open honors with a top-eight finish Sat., May 11 at Stonehill. Cummins had the top Cardinal finish as he placed third in the 1500m race with a time of 3:51.63, less than two seconds over the school record set 52 years ago. Cummins' time placed him in contention for an NCAA spot as it represented the 17th fastest time in the country at the time. It proved to be enough to get him in as the 19th seed among the 20 qualifiers in the 1500m for the NCAA Division III Championships to be hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse Thurs.-Sat., May 23-25.
