Cardinals Tune up for Big Meet Jan. 22 During the Wesleyan Invitational II Jan 15

Competing in a modest five-team affair at home Sat., Jan. 15, the Cardinals tuned up for an enormous meet slated for the Bacon Field House Sat., Jan. 22 (approximately 20 visiting teams) with some strong efforts.  Active on the home track for the first time since 2009, school-record holder Tommie Lark '12 (photo insert upper left) won both the long jump (19-7 3/4) and the triple jump (43-4 1/2). Paulie Lowther '13 (photo insert upper right) conquered the field in the 200m (:23.21) while grabbing second in the 55m (:06.80).  Capturing the high jump by clearing 6-0 was Alex Iwamoto '12 (main photo).  Iwamoto also came in as runner-up to Lark in both the long and triple jump.  Ernest Wingate '14 was the victor in the 55m hurdles, timed in :08.27.

Expected to be in attendance at the Wesleyan Invtational III coming up Jan. 22 are NESCAC rivals Amherst, Conn. College and Trinity.
