During the annual Little Three championships, this year hosted by Amherst Sat., April 23, the Cardinals collected 94.5 team points, placing third behind champion Williams (161.5) and Amherst (109). Twenty-one of the squad's point came from three first-place efforts among the 18 events. Capturing the 100m dash in a time of :11.28 was Paulie Lowther '13 (main photo) while Skyler Cummins '13 (photo insert lower right) claimed the 5k title with a time of 15:05.71. Ahead of the pack in the triple jump was Tommie Lark '12 (photo insert upper right) with a leap of 45-10.
Lark also grabbed second place in the long jump as the Cardinals collected eight second- and third-place finishes. Also a Little Three runner-up was Sam Roth '13 in the 800m, Ernest Wingate '14 in the 400m hurdles and Alex Iwamoto '12 in the high jump. Third-place performances came from Wingate in the 110m hurdles, Jack Pacelle '13 in the 400m and Charlie Lang '11 in the 5k. Wesleyan's 4x400m relay of Pacelle, Lark, Wingate and Lowther was the final second-place finisher.
Wesleyan will serve as host of the annual NESCAC Championships, coming up Sat., April 30.
