Cara Colker-Eybel '13 (top photo) won three individual events and anchored the 400 medley relay to victory while Alexa Burzinski '15 (bottom photo) captured a pair of races and supported the 200 free relay in its first-place effort as the Cardinals downed both Bowdoin (163-134) and Colby (205-88) during a meet hosted by Trinity Sat., Jan. 28.

Colker-Eybel took both the 100 and 200 free as well as the 200 IM while Burzinski secured top finishes in both the 100 and 200 butterfly.  Thus, Colker-Eybel and Burzinski were involved in seven of the Cardinals nine swim wins on the day.  Two other individual wins came from Rachel Hirsch '15 in the 100 breaststroke and Roxy Capron '14 in the 200 breaststroke.  Hirsch was part of the winning 400 medley relay while Angela Slevin '15 was on both winning relays along with Alyssa Savarino '14.

Next up for the squad was the final dual meet of the season Sat., Feb. 4 vs. Coast Guard.  The Cardinals had already clinched a fifth straight winning overall record with a 7-5 mark, and wrapped up a winning dual-meet mark as well, standing 5-4 after a resounding 202-93 win over the Bears, making the team 8-5 overall.  It was the Cardinals' 10th consecutive win over Coast Guard.  Wesleyan captured 13 of the 14 swimming events as Colker-Eybel repeated as winner of the 100 and 200 free as well as the 200 IM.  Other multiple winners were Hirsch in the 100 and 200 breast and Slevin in the 100 and 200 back.  Single-event winners were Rachel Cohen '12 in the 1000 free, Julia Fram '12 in the 200 fly, Bailey Muchin '15 in the 500 free and Alyssa Savarino '14 in the 100 fly.  Wesleyan also won both relays by comfortable margins.
